Free Drink Friday: Anyone interested in identifying what this is? The closest what and where gets a mocha or latte delivered to work on Monday morning!

Our substitute release day will be Thursday, October 5th. We will be meeting at ESC in the Evergreen Room, 8:30-4:00 pm. Our morning will include information from big toy reps. We will be together with the Edgerton Lead Team. The afternoon will include sub committee work. Please take a look at the right hand column. In addition to the Building Technology blog already on the right hand column, on Monday there will be a Teaming and Collaboration blog as well. I am anticipating four team members on each sub committee. Please take a look at both on Monday and decide which one you are interested in.

Choosing Some Work
I hope everyone had a good experience yesterday being able to get a close or closer look at the work that is being done. I appreciated the opportunity to just see each other as a group for the first time. I have documented the hour yesterday and we will add that to the timesheet at the end of the month.

I realize that my overview on the mascot and big toy sub-committee work to be done was pretty brief, but I am hoping that we can get 3-4 people per group involved in the work before it comes to the whole Lead Team. Please respond in the comments link below if you are interested and identify what days you are available next week, times you can meet, and whether you can do before or after school. If you are not able to participate at this time, don't worry, there is certainly more work coming your way right around the corner!

Mascot and Colors: We will meet on Tuesday or Wednesday. The process is on the back of the forms if you would like to review them before making a decision.

Big Toy: This will require visiting two to three playgrounds this coming week as a team. The thought is to wear some jeans and tennis shoes in case you want to try out the equipment (recommended). The three sites to visit so far include:
  1. Neighbors Park in Tacoma (Kompan company)
  2. Spinning Elementary (GameTime), Stewart Elementary or any other school that has GameTime Equipment installed in the last 5 years
  3. Maplewood Elementary and Bradley Lake Park (Playworld Systems)

Carson Site Visitation
I just got off the Carson site this afternoon. I have arranged for a Lead Team tour of Carson this Thursday, September 14th. The tour will begin at 3:45 pm and will last approximatly 45 minutes to an hour. John Ovitt will be walking us through the work site. I realize this is somewhat short notice and I am hoping that everyone will be available. Please respond in the comments section following this message as to whether or not you will be attending. Having non-construction members on site is pretty rare. Outside of a community tour event that will be scheduled for this fall, we can anticipate approximately two more opportunities the remainder of the construction schedule. Please be sure to wear outdoor shoes. The site is rough and dusty (as a construction site should be).
